Coverlee does not set cookies by default. We store four small settings in your browser, and optional cookieless analytics load only if you allow them.
No, not by default. Coverlee does not set advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. We use your browser’s local storage for a few settings that make the site work the way you asked, and these never leave your device.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
coverlee-theme | Local storage | Remembers light, dark or system theme | Until you clear it |
coverlee-consent | Local storage | Remembers your privacy choice (allow or decline analytics) | Until you clear it |
coverlee-recent-searches | Local storage | Keeps your last five on-site searches so you can repeat them | Until you clear it |
coverlee-checklist | Local storage | Remembers which items you ticked in the coverage review checklist | Until you clear it |
These items are strictly necessary for features you use or settings you choose. They are not shared with anyone.
If you choose Allow analytics in our privacy banner, we may load Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is designed to be cookieless and reports aggregate information such as page views and referrers, without building a profile of you. If you choose No thanks, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the analytics script is never loaded.
We do not embed social media widgets, ads, videos or maps that set their own cookies. Links to official sites take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
Our health plan checker requests data from our own server, which contacts the CMS Marketplace API. That does not set cookies in your browser.
Use the Privacy choices link in the footer of any page to reopen the privacy banner. You can also clear local storage for coverleeapp.com in your browser settings, which resets your theme, privacy choice and recent searches.
If we ever add a cookie or another stored item, we will list it here before it goes live and, if it is not strictly necessary, ask for your consent first.
