Coverlee exists to answer one question well: how much coverage is enough? We build free tools that show their working and write plain-language guides that cite official sources.
Coverlee is a free, independent website for people in the United States who want to know how much insurance coverage is enough. Our centerpiece is the coverage checker: three short tools that estimate how much life insurance, home or renters coverage and auto liability you may need. Around it sit more than a dozen focused calculators, from flood coverage to Marketplace health plan levels, and a library of plain-language guides.
The name comes from the “lee”: the sheltered side, out of the wind. That is what good coverage does, and it is what we try to help you find without the noise.
Coverlee is not an insurance company, agency or broker. We do not sell insurance, collect quotes, recommend specific companies or share leads. We are not licensed to give insurance, legal, tax or financial advice, and nothing on the site is advice. When a decision needs a professional, we say so.
For health coverage, our plan level checker uses public data from the CMS Marketplace API. Coverlee is not affiliated with the government or HealthCare.gov, and you enroll on HealthCare.gov or your state’s marketplace, not here.
Guides and tools are produced by the Coverlee Editorial Team. We do not list individual names or credentials yet, and we will not invent them. When named writers or reviewers join, they will appear on the author page with their real backgrounds.
How we research, source, review and correct content is set out in our editorial policy, and how every tool calculates its numbers is in our methodology.
Coverlee currently has no advertising, no sponsored content and no affiliate links. If we ever add any, our advertising disclosure will be updated first, partner links will be labeled where they appear, and they will never change a calculator result or what a guide recommends.
The best way to reach us is by email at , or through our contact page. We read every message and aim to reply within 5 business days.

Right now it does not. There are no ads, sponsored posts or affiliate links. If that ever changes, we will update our advertising disclosure first and label any partner link where it appears.
Because a number you have to trade your phone number for is a sales lead, not an answer. Our calculators run in your browser and nothing you type is stored.
No. They are educational estimates based on published formulas and official rules. Your real needs depend on your policy wording, your state and your situation, so use the results to ask better questions of a licensed professional.
English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. The tools and core pages are available in all three, along with guides written for each audience.
